Denholtz Properties to Welcome MGT Foods to Ft. Monmouth Commissary Building
15 September 2022
Denholtz Properties has signed a 19,567-square-foot lease with MGT Foods at The Commissary at Baseline within the historic Fort Monmouth redevelopment site in Oceanport, N.J. As a third-generation, family-owned food manufacturing company, MGT Foods specializes in creating innovative food products and owns popular brands such as Mr. Green Tea Ice Cream, Mr. Mochi, and Eat Mud Non-Dairy Ice Cream. The company’s new facility at The Commissary at Baseline will support its expanding production needs and position MGT to increase its unique manufacturing services to a broader range of brands and consumers worldwide.
Strategically located in Oceanport, The Commissary at Baseline has been thoughtfully redeveloped by Denholtz Properties to cater to modern food and beverage enterprises, making it an ideal fit for MGT Foods. Production is set to begin in early 2023, and MGT Foods will join Birdsmouth Beer, a craft brewery opening this fall, as one of The Commissary’s first tenants.
"We recognized the tremendous untapped potential of The Commissary at Fort Monmouth from day one,” said Kristine B. Hurlbut, Senior Vice President, Leasing at Denholtz Properties. “Securing innovative tenants like MGT Foods and Birdsmouth Beer reinforces our vision for this site and demonstrates our commitment to the property’s ongoing success.”
Looking forward, Denholtz Properties plans to expand with Phase Two at Baseline, constructing 72,400 square feet of new spec industrial and flex space across three buildings on the former Warehouse District, with completion targeted for 2023.
