Steven Denholtz Named a Finalist in the EY New Jersey Entrepreneur Of The Year® Awards

Denholtz Properties proudly announces that CEO Steven Denholtz was honored as a finalist for the 2024 EY New Jersey Entrepreneur Of The Year® Awards at the New Jersey regional awards program held on June 10 at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City.

Since its inception in 1986, EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year program has recognized over 11,000 business leaders worldwide who embody entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and resilience. Denholtz’s nearly four-decade-long dedication to growth and community-focused investment has guided Denholtz Properties to become a national leader in asset management, overseeing a portfolio of over 6.8 million square feet and more than $2 billion in assets.

"While success is often measured in financial terms, I am most proud of the investments our team has made to create positive outcomes in every community we serve," said Denholtz. "I thank our team for their dedication to these values, and I look forward to achieving even more together."

Under Denholtz’s leadership since 1983, Denholtz Properties has grown by prioritizing the needs of every stakeholder. In 2019, he led the company’s relocation from Matawan to Red Bank, N.J., underscoring the firm’s commitment to Red Bank’s West Side neighborhood. This move included a full renovation of its headquarters and the development of *The Rail at Red Bank*, a mixed-use project bringing new residents and businesses to the area. These changes have solidified Denholtz Properties as a key player in Red Bank’s community.

Alongside President Stephen Cassidy, Denholtz has expanded the firm’s reach into the southeastern United States, with significant investments in Orlando and Tampa, Fla., and entry into markets in Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia since 2020.

Denholtz’s commitment to fostering talent and creating a diverse, inclusive workplace has contributed to a strong culture of innovation, with an average employee tenure of 12 years and many senior leaders rising from entry-level positions. He has also championed women’s representation in commercial real estate, with numerous women now in senior leadership roles at Denholtz Properties.

Beyond business, Denholtz has instilled a deep commitment to community service within the company. Denholtz Properties is a dedicated supporter of Lunch Break, a Red Bank non-profit providing food and resources to those in need. Steven also serves on the boards of the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, the Kislak School of Real Estate at Monmouth University, Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and the Count Basie Center for the Arts.
